Billy's Connolly's adventure in the far north 'Journey to the Edge of the World', which airs on ITV this week is the latest in a series of travelogues from the Big Yin. Focusing on the Canadian Arctic, this series chronicles his journey through the vast Arctic region, from Nova Scotia across the fabled Northwest Passage to the Pacific Ocean and will be shown over 4 episodes starting at 9pm this Thursday 19 Feb on ITV1.
Back in 2004, we were treated to Billy's unique style of travel reporting interspersed with excerpts of his stand-up show as he toured New Zealand on his trade-mark 'trike'. From Invercargill to Auckland and a memorable jump off the Sky Tower, he showed viewers the quirky side of NZ. Inspired by this programme, we put together a special itinerary based on the places he visited and now it is back on our website.
Billy's Connolly - World Tour of New Zealand was the companion to his earlier series around Australia and both can be purchased on Amazon. And all Billy fans should definately check out his website...not sure how often its update, but fun nevertheless.
