Wimbledon’s a washout, the strawberries have gone soggy and even the ducks are beginning to lose heart. It’s now July and still our summer of never is ongoing. So if that’s how it’s going to be, we’ll just have to adapt. Here’s my plan for how to fill the long days of damp.
1) Wear out the DVD player and watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy in its entirety…that means the extended version, all 12 hours
2) Buy a waterproof and get on with it
3) Start planning your New Zealand holiday… much fun to be had here looking at maps, checking out excursions, accommodation, driving routes, when to travel, how long for? As it happens a visit to our website is a great place to start with this offering a massive range of holiday ideas. It’s award-winning you know! There are also great savings to be made if you book before October.
4) Practice making the perfect pavlova…often necessary to repeat
So you see I’m almost grateful for our deferred summer. I’ve so much to do…
